It rains, then freezes, then I fall on my knee

I had big plans for tonight I was going to hit up a spinning class to cross train.  When I got home from work I decided since class was not until 6pm I had some free time I would walk Molly to the mailbox.  The walk was pretty uneventful until we turned to walk down our block I slipped and fell on some ice hiding under the snow.  I fell on my knee and elbow and let me say that I was saying some choice words!  I limped home and went to the couch right away.

No spinning class for me tonight.  I am really frustrated with the whole thing.  I find it even more frustrating that I broke my routine and this is what happened.  I am a very routine oriented person so this is extra frustrating for me!

I drowned the frustration in a nice hot bath.  I am currently icing the knee and elbow.  Kevin the forever optimist said at least it isn’t the knee that was hurting from your running.  Yep, I guess things are looking up:)

For dinner we went Mexican!

This was the biggest and best salad ever!  I ate it out of my largest Cali Bowl.  I love those bowls, I use them just about every day.

The salad included:

  • A lot of field greens
  • 1 serving of ground turkey
  • onions
  • red peppers
  • 1/2 c black beans
  • generous amount of salsa on top
  • a dab of sour cream
  • 1 Dorot cilantro cube
  • 1/2 of a small avocado

This was such a great salad and I loved the cilantro flavor!  The dinner was ready in around 5 minutes because we used the leftover ground turkey and veggies from last night when we made pizza.  It was a snap!

Hope you all had a good day!  I am hoping that the rest of mine is good:)

Love the new blog!! And love your salads too. I used to have a big bowl that I adored as well but it aged gracefully and entered into retirement a while ago… Maybe I need a new one :) Yummy salad!
