That is the smell of determination!

Last night we went to Jason and Meagan’s for the first game night of 2010!  A fun time was had by all, plus there were yummy nibbles to be had!

Party foods!

There were all sorts of goodies to be had.  I think everyone enjoyed Jason’s Amazing White Trash Puff Balls!  You really can not go wrong with cream cheese, pepperoni, and crescent rolls!  I think I ate my weight in popcorn though!

We played several rounds of our favorite A to Z game. You would think that naming things would be easy, not so!

We also played a good round of Settler's of Catan. Love this game! Too bad Jeremy won when I excused myself to use the restroom. Nothing like coming back to an already finished game:)

We were party poopers and left fairly early.  The good games had yet to be played.  I had to get up early this morning for work.  When I left the house it was -14 degrees.  I don’t know how much more of this cold weather I can take!

On my way home I stopped at A Hill of Beans to stock up for the week.

Holy Yum!

This week’s flavors:

  • Hawaiian Macadamia Nut
  • Cinnamon Almond Macaroon
  • Torani Sugar Free Coconut syrup

This will be the one way I will be able to make it out of bed and get to work before the sun comes up!  I told Kevin that we need a coffee pot in the laundry room so that I can just grab a cup on my way to the shower.  Don’t judge, walking to the kitchen early in the morning while half asleep can be a big undertaking!

I have been toying around with the idea of treating myself to some new running shoes.  I have had my others since May, but as I am going to be running a lot more I thought maybe it would be motivating?  Maybe????

Take a whiff of the new shoes, I belive that may be the smell of half-marathon determination!

They are part of the Bowerman series and I am most excited that they have a spot for the Nike running chip under the sole.  In may last pair of shoes I just had it on the top in the laces.  We will see how they go!

No other pictures of food today because to be honest what I ate was borning!

  • PB toast
  • cheese and almonds
  • Kashi Red Curry frozen meal
  • popcorn (We saw Sherlock Holmes.  It was better than expected!)
  • oatmeal for dinner

Hope your Saturday was great!  The reality of having to go back to work is hitting me!  I can’t say that I am excited:)
