Yesterday was our last Thanksgiving dinner for the year, and I can’t help but think that is a good thing. We started off the day by going to see, “Fantastic Mr. Fox” I have to say that I really enjoyed the movie and was cracking up a good portion of the time. Even Kevin said he enjoyed it and beings that it was not an action movie that really means something. Afterwards in celebration of such a beautiful day we went for a 3mile walk around Lake Zorinsky. It could not have been a more perfect day. It was almost 60 degrees out and I started with a light jacket but I ended up taking that off. Then we came home so that I could finish up my cranberry relish to take to mom’s.

This recipe came from Hungry-Girl. Just cranberries, madarin oranges, almonds, and gelatin. So good!
Then we packed up and headed over to mom and Marks. She worked very hard to put together an amazing Thanksgiving feast. I am not sure that she realized it was only going to be the six of us, but we will have leftovers for a very long time!

The set table
Then….

Set with all of the food
And all of the important people…

Katie, Matt, Mark, Mom, and Kevin
Then we started the mammoth of a feast!
On my plate:
-Pumpkin cornbread muffin
-Seven layer salad
-asparagus
-Turkey with cranberry relish
-Green bean casserole
-Sweet potato casserole
-Stuffing
Dinner was amazing! There was so much food I did not even try everything! I was comfortable after dinner, not stuffed! We played some games and then it was time for dessert!
I love dessert, but I love salads more. So for my dessert I had:
-Broccoli salad
-Seven Layer salad
-Pretzel Salad
But then I saw Kevin eating this:

Triple Berry Pie!
I had a few bites off of Kevin’s plate. My mom just had to make this sugar free triple berry pie, that let me just say was about the best thing that I have ever had. I ate the bites double crust and all. Good thing I was too full to have my own piece:)
After dessert we put up the 2 Christmas trees. Well I just watched cause I was super tired!

Kevin "fluffing" the tree:)
All in all it was a great Thanksgiving, so good that we went right home to bed. Even Molly had a great time!

Hope everyone enjoyed their family time on this long weekend! Christmas is just around the corner!
