Perfect Friday Off!

I really could get used to three day work weeks!  The time just flew by and I found myself ready to enjoy my weekend.  I got up and went to my Friday morning WW meeting.  I was up .6lb and overal I am just fine with that.  I have told myself that I am not going to worry about little gains like that if I have been on plan and active throughout the week.  I tell myself that fluctuations are normal and to just get used to it.

After the meeting I ran errands:

-coffee at Panera

-taking a pair of jeans to be hemmed

-meeting Kevin for lunch at HuHot

Afterwards I was just kind of exhausted.  Yesterday I did not workout as I woke up tired.  I figured that it was just best to give my body, especialy my legs a rest after running.  I don’t know if I really ever got over being tired, so I came home and laid on the couch with Molly.  Let me tell you that there is nothing good on tv in the middle of the day.  I thought I would be able to take a nap, but I had running on the brain and I was really ansty.

So….I went for a run.  I went out and ran around a lake that I like, which is exactly a 5K.  I was pumping myself up on the way there visualizing a strong, powerful run.  And, it was just that.

-Total distance 3.2 miles

-Total time 37 minutes

-I ran the first 1.5 miles in 15 minutes!  That means I was running a 10 minute mile!  I don’t even do that at the gym on the treadmill.  This is the accomplishment I am most proud of!

-Walked 2x during the entire run

I am getting so excited for the Race for the Cure 5k.  I think I am actually going to be ready!

Ok, on to what I have been eating!  The important stuff!

I used these:

chixstripTo make this wrap:

wrapit-1/2 box of chicken strips

-Romaine lettuce

-Fresh tomato

-Flat out wrap

-Roasted Red Pepper Spread

Tonight I also made one of my favorite desserts.  I am a huge fan of Vitatops!  I usually by the already made ones, but I had this box

vita

I made these with my new muffin top pan

brownies

It makes a total of 12 and then you freeze them.  I love to eat them frozen just like this….

browniebatter

-Frozen chocolate vitatop

-2 Tb Naturally More Peanut Butter

-Mix it up and treat yourself to a frozen brownie

That is pretty much it around here.  Hope you all enjoyed your Friday!  Only two more sleeps until the season finale of True Blood!  Can not wait for it!
