Turkey tenderloin with veggies
Eat the freezer is a fun game. I do the grocery shopping and I go about once every two weeks. When I go I think that the people at Target think I feed a family of 10. Not true of course since it is just Kevin and I. But, I hate to pass up a good bargain. Awhile back I got this turkey tenderloin for about five dollars, and now look at it. Presto chango it is now dinner. I just cooked it in the oven covered in the veggies like most people would do a beef roast. This will be dinner/insert meal name here for the next couple of days. I almost sometimes wish that I had a few kids so that when I cooked dinner I did not have to eat it for several days straight. I usually remedy this by just portioning it out and freezing them. There is always an array of frozen meals in the freezer and not all of them say Lean Cuisine:)
I am still considerably sore due to Bob’s burning out the triceps work out. Thanks Bob! So today instead of doing the regular boot camp like I should of I did yoga. Either way it is a workout I say. I was doing really good till I forgot that the last two exercises are chair pose. I thought that I was going to die the way my legs were “cookin” according to my BFF Bob. Then after the yoga and a shower I decided to take Molly on a walk. It was not quite as cold as yesterday, but I was smarter today and wore Kevin’s puffy coat, gloves, and a hat. I think that she had a good time being outside and I know I enjoyed soaking up the sunshine. I may do the boot camp tomorrow, or I might just go for a long walk because it is supposed to be something like 50 degrees.
I have been hearing from a lot of people who are on one of those four letter words roller coasters. Yep, that would be a diet. Hold on while I pull my soapbox out. Ok, here goes. CARBS are NOT all BAD for YOU! That is right there are some caps there because I feel like saying it strongly! Now, if you eat a loaf of white bread then we are talking poor nutrition. Let me say it again, not all carbs are bad for you. In fact your brain actually needs carbs in order to function. Your brain is a big ole mess of fattiness. It loves the carbs! So if I hear one more person say, oh I am watching my carbs, or my life would be so much better if I never ate a carb again I do believe that my head is going to explode. Watch carbs all you want, just make sure that you realize carbs are in everything and the good kind of carbs, ie whole grains will make your life that much more easily live-able. Ok I am stepping down off the box.
That is pretty much it for me. Oh, except that I was glad to see Joelle voted off Biggest Loser last night. Too bad her partner could not have stayed on the ranch and kept at it. Off to work:)
