KC Part II

Well besides having a great time visiting and touring the sites in KC we also ate our fair share of delicious dinners!  When we went to the water park we were able to take coolers in.  That was a blessing in disguise!  We had tuna sandwiches, strawberries, chips, and water.  Not having to pay $5 for a bottle of water was the best invention ever.  That evening as we toured around Town Center we had an abundance of places to choose from.  We wanted something relatively low key.  We decided on a Mexican place, On the Border.  It was only ok.

Sub-par fajita salad

I have to say that I was disappointed with this salad!  However, the chips and salsa did make it better:)

After dinner, walking around and sweating a ton more we ended up at Over the Top Cupcake and Yogurt Shoppe!

Coconut yogurt and then some pb yogurt with Reese's pb cups

As I have said before and will continue to say….Ice cream how I love thee!  I could have gone crazy with all of the flavors and topping combination’s that the serve yourself shoppe had.  Good thing I had just eaten dinner and you pay by the ounce.  I kind of kept things in control:)

My happy and sweaty ice cream face!

Kevin loves ice cream too!

The next day Kevin showed his commitment to me by eating two vegetarian meals!

Sweet Tomatoes

I love a place where the salad bar is the shtick! They also had a pasta bar, soup, and potatoes!

Lunch!

For dinner we went to Eden Alley.  It is a veggie place in the plaza.  Don’t let the veggies fool you, they are super yummy and even impressed the meat loving husband!

We plowed right through the hummus platter

The warm pita bread was melt in your mouth delicious!

The star of dinner!

I ordered the sweet potato burrito and this was the best thing that I have had in a good long while!  It was filled with roasted sweet potatoes and brown rice.  The tortilla was slightly crisp and the fruit salsa on top was just picked fresh!  I would be getting this all of the time if we lived in KC!

Kevin had a veggie burger

While he said the burger was good, it was not the best veggie burger he has ever had.

There you have it a highlight reel of the eats in KC!

Two days down this week, two more to go!
