I love peanut butter as you all well know and since it was our turn to host the dinner club I thought it only appropriate to chose pb as a staple. I am a fan of chocolate too, but it is even better when combined with peanut butter. I could go on and on and tell you how amazing everything was, but I will show you the pictures instead.
There were so many different ingredients in this marinade:
- chili powder
- peanut butter
- apple cider vinegar
- soy sauce
- brown sugar
- black pepper
- garlic
Marinating the chicken overnight in the fridge resulted in a really great flavor and meat that was very juicy!
Ben and Jeremy brought a fruit/veggie tray with three choices of dips.
- Peanut butter
- Curry with peanut butter mixed in
- Chocolate coffee flavored
Jason and Meagan brought some delicious dishes. He made this chicken mole which was kind of like a chicken chili. It was nice and spicy and I could not even taste the chocolate.
Hands down one of the best banana breads I have ever had. It was so moist and the chocolate pb combo was a real winner!
The most interesting dish of the night was the chocolate covered bacon topped with almonds. I know this sounds like a crazy and somewhat gross idea, but it was darn tasty. If you are a lover of a sweet/salty combo than look no further!
In addition to an awesome salad with pb dressing Matt and Elyse brought this fruit pizza drizzled with chocolate! Fruit pizza is one of my favorite desserts. Who doesn’t like sugar cookies?
While we were mingling I grazed on the fruit and veggie plate dipping to my hearts desire. When it was dinner time I got down to business! I had some chicken, salad, banana bread, and some Mole. What you don’t see pictured is me stuffing my face with a piece of chocolate bacon:)
As if dinner was not enough we had to follow the whole thing up with dessert!
We were all pretty full after this feast! It was kind of like a Thanksgiving dinner of sorts where you try a bit of everything and end up really full!
Next month’s theme: MEAT! I am not always a big meat fan so this will be interesting. At least I did not get seafood!
Tonight’s dinner post 3.5 mile was looks sad when you compare it to the PB/Choco feast
We just used some ground chicken to make a taco night for Kevin and a taco salad night for me. It was probably a good thing that I had a salad for dinner after last night:)
Hope your weekend was great!

Your photo quality has improved dramatically. You make it all look so tasty!
