I just wanted to point out that I did not bring up Jason and Meagan’s brown item from the colorful dinner. Meagan the ever eager bartender made Snicker’s martinis. I can’t believe I did not get a photo of those, they were great. I had a sip of one and it was diving. I don’t know the recipe, but I know it involved Godiva chocolate liqueur, hazelnut flavoring, and vanilla vodka. In the bottom of the cup was chocolate sauce and on the side a mini Snicker’s. YUM!
Tonight after work I went and did the short side of Lake Zorinsky. I could not believe the amount of people out. It was a beautiful day with the temp coming in right around 70 degrees. It is always fun to wear the Garmin to see how far and fast I have gone. Wouldn’t you know that the Garmin battery was dead yesterday and today my ipod battery was dead. Go figure!
This morning at breakfast I was flipping through the Rachel Ray magazine and came across curry chicken pot pie. I thought that it sounded great and was another meal that I could use the turkey in! This turkey (the white meat alone) has given us four meals already. We gave all of the dark meat to my mom and Mark.
Here it is:
I based my recipe off the one from RR, but it was quite a bit different as well. In the mix:
- sweet potato
- chopped up turkey
- yellow onion
- bag of frozen California mix
- chicken broth
- 1/2 Tb sweet curry powder
- 1/2 Tb Hot curry powder
The top was just the recipe from the Bisquick box and I mixed in some Garam Masala spice.
Dinner was great and it was pretty quick as well which around here is always a good thing!
Look what showed up in the mailbox today….
This just made my day even better with fun in the mailbox! I love Tazo teas! My two all time favorites are white persimmons which I put a bag in my water bottle just about every day and vanilla rooibos. I can’t wait to try these out, thanks Tazo!
Hope your week is off to a great start. Mine is and tomorrow is my midweek!
