Monday again. These days seem to be just flying by. Weighed in on Friday and I was down 1.8lb wich puts me at the lower limit of my “maintenance” weight. So we upped my daily points allotment by 2. Last week was just really crazy at work and I think that I burned off quite a bit more than I normally do. It will be interesting to see how it goes this week due to the extra points. I might add that I have had no problem eating the extra points this week as we went out to Mark’s in Dundee and having friends around leads to extra munching on this and that. We will see once Friday rolls around.
Kevin got me tickets to see Wicked for my birthday and it was amazing. Our friends Dan and Emily came down to see it with us. Like I posted earlier we went to Mark’s for dinner and then downtown for the show. Afterwards we opened up this 27 year old bottle of champagne that Kevin’s dad had found in their kitchen. We gave it a go and while I cannot say that it was bad I also cannot say it was good. One sip and I was done with that experience.

Also, this weekend I made a trek to Costco where I found one of the most amazing finds ever. Behold the box of Kashi wonder:)

24 bar variety pack
This was such an amazing deal because per unit each bar was something like .80 I usually pay at least $1.15 to $1.59. Plus it has the chocolate almond, which is my favorite. I combined all of my bars that I already had in the cupboard into this box and now the bar box is overflowing. I would take a photo of it, but I am a bit ashamed. Ha! Too many Kashi bars is never a problem in my book:)
Finally, Sunday was our pup’s 1st birthday. In honor of her special day we went to Three Dog Bakery at Village Pointe and got her a pup cake. She loved it so much. It was a real joy to watch her lick the “frosting” off of the cupcake.

That pretty much was the weekend in a snapshot. I am looking forward to the long weekend ahead and hoping that work goes very fast this week.
